Welcome to the New Site!
chris
OK. We’re still moving into our new diggs, but so far, all seems well and cozy. There are a few messes to clean up, the largest being the fact that it seems to be falling apart a bit in Internet Explorer on Windows (darn IE and its poor implementation of web standards). The site renders well in Safari, Firefox, Camino and other web browsers, but not IE. Here’s a piece of advice that you can see repeated all over the web. If you are running Windows, install and use Firefox. Its a better browser in many ways, and much more secure than IE. Its not perfect protection, but any help against viruses should be welcome. Looks like I’ll have a bit more work there. The second is our RSS feed. If you subscribed to our show directly from our old site, you’ll need to subscribe again, since the old feed won’t be updated anymore. If you subscribed through iTunes or some of the other directories, though, you should be OK. Also, you may notice that you get all of our old shows duplicated in your podcatcher. That’s a known side effect of moving your feed the way we just did. Sorry. Couldn’t be helped. Just go ahead and delete the duplicate entries.
So, if you need to resubscribe, our new feeds are located at:

Now, you might ask, WHY did we change our site to a WordPress Blog? Well, lots of reasons, really. First, its making things easier for us, since now all of us can post to the site, and also we don’t have to reload the ENTIRE SITE every time we make updates. You may remember we started off using iWeb, but we weren’t hosting on .Mac servers, so any little change required more work than we liked.
Second, it makes things easier for you, since WordPress allows for categorization, search and a number of other great ways to find content.
Third, its just a more versatile tool. You can leave comments; both written and audio. To leave an audio comment, just click on the MyChingo button in the sidebar, and away you go! We can add cool tools, like the PodPress player that lets you listen to our shows on your computer very easily. Just click on “Play in Pop-up” under one of our audio casts and you can surf the web while listening to the show. There are other items as well, but we’re not even going to attempt to lay them all out here.
Anyways, while iWeb helped us to get up and running quickly, we saw the limits early on, and began making plans to upgrade as soon as possible, and before you had too many programs to duplicate in your podcatcher.
Hope you like the new diggs as much as we do. Welcome!
